BATGIRL: The event: www.powderhorn365.com which included free food and wine too! Anyone living in the twin cities will enjoy taking a peek into the daily lives of people and events going on in this diverse neighborhood. I have a feeling art openings might be a staple of the "free" date concept since the city is so artistic and until Spring comes, we'll want to be indoors!
The date: A friend of a friend who I met over 2 years ago and recently reconnected with. He's well spoken and probably should be since he makes his living as a radio host of a popular sports show. And this was his first art opening! I have to admit, I was a little nervous we'd run into lots of people that he knows since everyone I know seems to know him, his celebrity crushes, etc! Luckily, we didn't run into hordes of people which gave us the chance to talk.
Irony regarding the "free" date: after the free art show, we hit Bradstreet Bar inside the Graves Hotel which is probably the most expensive place in town for drinks. But, the bartenders are pure magicians and the drinks are heavenly. Although I'm more of a local dive bar date, seeing how the other half drinks was a treat! A very enjoyable evening and you were a fun date....thank you HL!
